The UK Power Networks’ community is a place for our customers to chat with one another, share their experiences, thoughts and ideas and have lively debate about all of the services we provide. On your home page you will see a feed of discussions, polls and surveys which we would love you to get involved in.

• 'Discussions' are specific topic areas where you can provide your comments, you can also start your own discussion.

                  - Click on the UK Power Networks’ logo in the top left hand corner 

                  

                  - Click on the box that has ‘Start Discussion…’   

                    

                   - You can add a discussion title and then add your comments into the box which has ‘your comments…’ Then select ‘Start Discussion’. Your discussion will then be posted.

                      

• ‘Surveys’ are sets of questions on specific topics that we’d love you to take part in.
• ‘Polls’ are single questions that are quick and easy to answer.

We will be adding new discussions, surveys and polls regularly, so you can keep checking in to see what has changed.

How do I get back to the main homepage?

If you ever need to get back to the homepage and the main content feed, you can select the UK Power Networks' logo in the top left hand corner, as shown below. You can then see all posts on the community. 

How do I change my password?

To change your password make sure you are logged in and click on the symbol in at the top right of the homepage, next to your profile image, then scroll down to ‘change password’ as shown below.  You can change your password to a password of your choice.

How do I logout?

To logout, select the symbol and click 'logout', as shown below. 

How do I upload a profile picture?

To upload a profile picture make sure you are logged in and click on your username (as highlighted below) the top right of the homepage. 

In the ‘my profile’ section, click ‘choose file' to use a picture of your own. Please note: the file type must be .jpg .png or a .gif file, and should be 150px by 150px.

How do I look for a discussion in a particular category?

Select the 'All categories' box (as highlighted below) and a dropdown menu will appear where you can select the category you would like to view. When you click on the relevant category, all posts in that subject category will appear in the content feed.

How do I look for specific type of post (e.g. a poll, discussion or survey)?

Select the 'Type' box (as highlighted below) and a dropdown menu will appear where you can select the type of post you would like to view (e.g. discussion, poll or survey). When you click on the relevant option, all posts of that type will appear in the content feed.

How do I look for specific type of post (e.g. a poll or a discussion) in a particular category?

Select the 'All categories' box (as highlighted below) and a dropdown menu will appear where you can select the category you would like to view (e.g. priority services). When you click on the relevant category, all posts will appear in the content feed.

Once the relevant category has been selected, select the 'Type' box (as highlighted below) and a dropdown menu will appear where you can select the type of post you would like to view (e.g. discussion, poll or survey). When you click on the relevant option, all posts of that type from the category you have selected will appear in the content feed.

How do I vote or comment on a poll?

If you want to see what polls are on the community, select 'polls' in the dropdown menu shown below:

You can add your vote to your chosen answer and leave a comment in the box below the poll if you wish. If you don’t want your name to be visible, tick ‘post anonymously’, before clicking ‘submit’ to cast your vote.

How do I check my notifications?

To check your notifications, select the bell in the top right hand corner of the page. The notifications will appear in a list and you can select the relevant post that you would like to view.
